A legendary actor who influenced world cinema, Marcello Mastroianni was theface of “la dolce vita,” the sweet life. With roots in theater, Mastroianni took on diverse roles throughout his film career, working with iconic directors like Federico Fellini, Marco Risi and Mario Monicelli. His collaboration with Sophia Loren and Vittorio De Sica produced the masterpieces “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” “Marriage Italian Style” and “Sunflower.” His daughter, Chiara Mastroianni, whose mother is French actress Catherine Deneuve, carries on hislegacy.
