Sophia Loren

The epitome of a movie star, Sophia Loren was discovered by producer Carlo Ponti at 14 years old. Her first starring role was in the 1953 film adaptation of“Aida.” Three years later, a five-film deal with Paramount launched her international career. Loren’s performance in Vittorio De Sica’s 1960 wartime drama “Two Women” earned her an Oscar. In 2021, she received a David di Donatello for best actress in a leading role for “The Life Ahead,” directed by herson Edoardo Ponti.
